The Lernen to Talk Show: Episode 5 – A Curious Coincidence!
August 31, 2011
Tomorrow’s the one month anniversary of my arrival in Germany! What a weird way to say that! Ever wondered what a person who’s studied German for one month as hard as he can sounds like? You’re in luck! Monday evening I sat down with my “host father” Jean Claude to talk about the weather, Swiss literature, and a disquieting coincidence I witnessed that morning (don’t worry, no one was hurt!). Also, I apologize for the poor framing of this week’s episode. An insurmountable labor shortage forced me to use a tripod, and I guess I’m taller than I thought I was. Okay, without further ado, Episode 5!:

Hi Mick!
Hi Mom!
glad you mentioned who Jean Claude was, so that no one thought it was a random bearded man you found in the bushes! Mickey, you’re the best and I’m so proud of the progress you’ve made in one month! “Super!” bis morgen
What a nice man
This is awesome! I’m learning German right now and this is definitely helping me.
Hi Quinn! That’s so great to hear. Ich wünsche dir viel Spaß beim Lernen! Woher kommst du?
